What Makes This Different Every other lounge
forced a pairing.

Every lounge has done a barrel pick. Many have paired a cigar with a whiskey after both were already finished — two completed products placed side by side and called a match. It can work. Sometimes beautifully. But neither one was made with the other in mind.

This is different. Luciano and Ironroot Republic built the cigar and the bourbon together, from scratch. That barrel has "ICC CR" written on it because it was built for this project from the beginning.

This is the only collaboration we know of born intentionally to work together.

The Build How It

The BaselineLuciano's team provided a baseline blend profile. Ironroot used that as a foundation for the whiskey build — not a shortcut, a starting point.

The First ExpressionThe distillery produced a working expression. Both teams tasted. Both took notes. Neither declared it finished.

The RefinementBoth went back to their respective crafts and adjusted. Then they compared again. This cycle repeated — not until it was perfect, but until it was honest.

The DocumentationThere were rounds where the alignment wasn't there. We documented those too. This project is a working collaboration — not a curated highlight reel.
